About the Author
Balachander Vijayakumar (Bala) is the father of a 3-year-old boy who demands a new bedtime story every evening. Most stories that Bala comes up with do the job perfectly well - they put his son to sleep in just under 7 minutes. However, on rare occasions, some stories get his son really excited, awake and happy. These books are an attempt to share such wonderful stories with many more wonderful kids around the world.
About the Illustrator
Janani Balachander is the co-author and illustrator of both books. She has been instrumental in turning bed-time stories into a published book series. Prior to illustrating the books, Janani has dabbled in various areas of design, such as Architecture, Interior Design and User Experience Design. Janani completed illustrating her second book, ‘The Elephants and the Leaking Tap’, a day before her daughter Anika was born.
