Excellent resources for anyone considering,
or working towards, a career in the IT industry.
Matthew Bennett is an award-winning trainer and author. He is also an IT consultant and has been working with Enterprise systems, notably Microsoft platforms, for 20 years. His two books, CompTIA A+ Certification Guide and Network+ Study Guide provide training that will help readers prepare for these entry level exams.
A+ is the starting point for a career in IT, and this book is aimed at people who currently have little or no practical experience to attest to their skills.
The exam certifies foundation level IT skills across a variety of devices and operating systems and is the preferred qualifying credential for technical support and operational IT roles.
This guide is divided into two sections:
The first module begins with understanding and installing CompTIA hardware required for CompTIA A+ 220-901. Readers will learn to use appropriate networking tools based on different scenarios. They will also learn about different domains, such as mobile devices, hardware and network troubleshooting.
The second module covers how to install and configure an Operating System (OS) on a client/desktop, covering a range of mobile and network devices and platforms, perform common preventative maintenance procedures using the appropriate Windows and other OS tools, and security best practice to secure a workstation and troubleshoot PC OS, application or security issues.
"Exactly what was needed for my staff to self-study for the exams." - Linda Ballas

Nework+ is an internationally recognised validation of the technical knowledge required of foundation level IT network practitioners, and certifies the essential skills needed to confidently design, configure, manage and troubleshoot any wired or wireless devices.
Working through this study guide will take the reader from the very basics, to being fully prepared for the multiple-choice exam, which is designed to test knowledge of network and wireless security, network design, network theory and practical application.
"Great study guide. Will help with passing the exam." - Mr B
